Lesson for December 28, 2025
New Year’s Message for 2026
The year 2026 will be a year of remembering. Sunday mornings will begin with a review of the Problem-Solving Devices, followed by a review of Our Spiritual Assets. We have all had challenges this year and have met them with the application of Bible doctrine. We have seen how God in His matchless grace has helped us through both good times and bad times. We studied the Book of John and many other doctrines and principles, resulting in spiritual growth. I want to encourage you to stay on the path that God has for you and do not allow Satan’s world system to distract you in any way.
As we move into 2026, the world around us is going to get worse and we need to be prepared to meet any and all that is thrown at us. The Angelic Conflict is continuing to intensify, and Satan is not giving up his quest to discredit God and prove Him unfair and unjust. We are very much a part of this conflict and will continue to experience spiritual battles in our daily lives. My desire for us is to win these battles with the help of God the Holy Spirit and Bible doctrine in our souls.
I will continue to teach accurate Bible doctrine and hope you will continue to support me in this effort. We will move forward together, as we review the truth of God’s Word together. Let’s stay with doctrine, increase our capacity to receive God’s blessings, and watch God pour out His blessings into our lives like never before.
Remember, the Christian Way of Life is a supernatural way of life that can be lived only with the filling of the Holy Spirit and Bible doctrine in the soul. The Christian Way of Life is a life of thinking the way Jesus thought. Philippians 2:5, says, “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” The mind of Christ is the doctrine found in the Word of God, the only source of absolute truth. In order to have the thinking of Christ, we must be consistently learning, believing, and applying the Word of God to every circumstance in our lives.
God has given us a command to grow spiritually, and He never gives us a command without giving us the means necessary to obey it. God, therefore, has preserved the Bible for us and provided the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Your way of life right now is being determined by what you think. Since you have freewill, you can think whatever you want to think. According to Proverbs 23:7, you are what you think. Satan’s world system has a way of thinking that does not line up with the thinking of God, called Human Viewpoint Thinking.
God’s thinking is found only in the Bible and is more reliable than anything we see, hear, smell, taste, or feel. The Bible is the Word of God the Father, the mind of Jesus Christ, and the “voice” of the Holy Spirit. We call God’s thinking Divine Viewpoint Thinking. (I Corinthians 2:16; Hebrews 3:7, 4:12; II Peter 1:12-21)
In order to have Divine Viewpoint Thinking, we must know accurate Bible doctrine. The more Bible doctrine we know and apply, the more Divine Viewpoint Thinking we will be able to exhibit. The less Bible doctrine we know, the more Human Viewpoint Thinking we will exhibit. The more Human Viewpoint Thinking we exhibit, the more insecure and unstable we are going to be.
Daily study of God’s Word keeps Divine Viewpoint Thinking fresh in our minds and helps us counteract Human Viewpoint Thinking. (Psalm 119:129-135) Thinking our way through life with divine viewpoint will bring victory, peace, power and stability. (Isaiah 26:3-4, 33:6) Vacillating between Divine Viewpoint Thinking and Human Viewpoint Thinking makes us unstable, according to James 1:8. An unstable believer is an unhappy believer. This inner conflict must be dealt with in order for us to stabilize our thinking and, thereby, our spiritual life. Mental stabilization comes by means of knowledge of accurate Bible doctrine (I Timothy 2:15, 3:16), application of Bible doctrine (wisdom) (Colossians 4:5), and cleansing from sin when necessary. (I John 1:9)
When Divine Viewpoint Thinking is developed through consistent study and application of Bible doctrine, it produces confidence based on the absolute truth of God’s Word. (Hebrews 4:9-16) This confidence in God’s Word leads us to spiritual maturity. Study and application of Bible doctrine takes discipline, concentration, and work.
The Christian Way of Life is all about what we think, and we can glorify God by what we think. Right thinking produces right actions. Once again, the Christian Way of Life is a supernatural way of life, which cannot be lived apart from knowledge of Bible doctrine and the control of God the Holy Spirit. (Romans 7:6, 8:2; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18) This way of life requires thinking. All changes in our lives must come from the inside. Our true character is determined by our thinking.
The Christian Way of Life begins with a change of mental attitude (repentance) towards Jesus Christ, leading to faith, which results in salvation. (Acts 3:19) At the moment of salvation, God does 40 things for each one of us. Choosing to utilize these things enables us to live in a manner that is acceptable to God. (Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 4:23; Philippians 4:8-9; Colossians 3:1-2)
After salvation, everyone makes their own choice regarding our spiritual life. God never forces us into any course of action. He has, however, provided the potential for happiness and blessing, but it is still our choice. The Christian Way of Life is designed by God so that we can think properly. Pressure situations require thinking and we will have them this coming year without a doubt. Application of the doctrine we have stored in our souls will enable us to think clearly under pressure. In other words, the more of God’s Word we get in us, the more of God’s Word will be available to us when needed. The result of Divine Viewpoint Thinking is peace, power, stability, and victory. (II Timothy 1:7; II Corinthians 10:5)
Our attitude toward the Word of God is our attitude toward God. If we pursue Bible doctrine, we love God. If we listen or study only at our convenience or when we are in trouble, then we insult God. If we study and fail to apply the doctrine we learn, then it does us no good. If the Word of God is not changing our thoughts and actions, then we are not applying it. A wise believer is a believer who uses what they learn.
